NPST Dividend 2026 – ₹2 Final Dividend, Record Date & Yield

Dividend Snapshot – Network People Services Technologies

Network People Services Technologies Limited (NSE: NPST, BSE: 544396) paid a final dividend of ₹2 per share for FY2025-26. On a face value of ₹10, that is a 20% dividend. That headline figure is not what shareholders earn. At the 28 September 2026 close of ₹1,635, the real NPST dividend yield is just 0.12%. The total payout is ₹4.17 crore, about 10.2% of FY26 consolidated profit.

Network People Services Technologies Company Overview

Network People Services Technologies (NPST) is a Thane-based fintech company, incorporated in 2013. It builds digital payment infrastructure for banks, payment aggregators and merchants. Its main products are UPI switching (as a Technology Service Provider), mobile banking, and a Payments Platform-as-a-Service model.

Listing Journey

NPST listed on the NSE SME platform in August 2021 and later moved to the main board, where it now trades on both NSE and BSE. In late 2025 it raised ₹300 crore through a preferential issue to Tata Mutual Fund at ₹2,074 per share.

Group Structure

The group has three subsidiaries: two in India (99.80% and 85.00% owned) and one in the UAE (100%). Under Ind AS 108, the company reports a single operating segment.

Revenue grew, but profit fell. EPS fell faster than PAT because the preferential issue increased the share count. Filing inconsistency: the results show profit attributable to owners as ₹46.94 crore, while total PAT is ₹40.82 crore. That is a gap of ₹6.12 crore. This article uses ₹40.82 crore, which matches the reported EPS.

NPST did not pay a dividend in its first three years after listing. It issued 2:1 bonus shares in early 2024. Both dividends so far came after the bonus, so the per-share history needs no adjustment. However, pre-2024 EPS figures on data sites are bonus-adjusted and will not match the original filings. The FY25 payout of about 9.0% is calculated as the ₹4.09 crore dividend paid in FY26 divided by FY25 PAT of ₹45.20 crore.

Expert Commentary on Network People Services Technologies Dividend

The ShareBazaar Online research desk sees this dividend as a signal, not an income stream. At ₹4.17 crore, it equals just 1.39% of the ₹300 crore NPST raised from Tata Mutual Fund.

What Works

Profit covers the dividend 10.3 times. Net cash of ₹305 crore means the payout carries almost no balance-sheet risk. Keeping the dividend flat at ₹2 while profit fell was a cautious choice.

What Concerns

Operations consumed ₹45.43 crore of cash in FY26. Receivables more than tripled. The dividend was paid from money raised from investors, not from cash the business generated.

Network People Services Technologies Future Outlook

Q1 FY27 Early Read

Q1 FY27 revenue was about ₹56 crore and net profit about ₹11 crore. The operating margin recovered to 25% from 21% in Q4 FY26. Year on year, revenue was up roughly 65% from Q1 FY26's ₹34 crore (Screener.in).

Growth Levers

Management's growth levers are new orders from public-sector and cooperative banks, an AI-based risk platform for merchant underwriting, and the Dubai subsidiary for overseas expansion.

For dividend purposes, the bigger question is cash conversion. If receivables are collected, future dividends can come from operating cash. If they are not, dividends will keep being paid out of the equity raise.

Network People Services Technologies Dividend Announcement Summary

On 28 May 2026, the NPST board approved the audited Q4 and FY26 results. It recommended a final dividend of ₹2 per equity share of face value ₹10. Shareholders approved the dividend at the 13th AGM on 28 September 2026.

Payout Size

Paid-up capital is ₹20.85 crore, or 2.085 crore shares. That gives a total outflow of ₹4.17 crore. The share count is confirmed by two other methods: market cap divided by CMP gives 2.086 crore shares, and PAT divided by EPS gives 1.98 crore weighted-average shares.

Other Board Decisions

The board also allotted 12,850 ESOP shares, appointed Vijay Kumar Singh as an Independent Director, reappointed the internal auditor, and approved the statement of deviation on use of the preferential-issue funds.

Network People Services Technologies Dividend Yield Analysis

The Face-Value Illusion

A "20% dividend" headline measures the payout against the ₹10 face value. No investor can buy at that price. The yield investors actually earn is 0.12% at ₹1,635. That is about 166 times lower than the headline figure.

Yield Compression

At the pre-announcement close of ₹1,027.60 (27 May 2026, Value Research), the yield was 0.195%. The share price has since risen 59%, pulling the yield down to 0.12%.

Yield reality check: the low yield is not a sign of weakness. The dividend held steady and the share price rose. Investors are pricing NPST for growth, at a P/E of about 76, not for income.

Network People Services Technologies Dividend History Analysis

Classification: Irregular Payer (Early Stage)

With only two consecutive annual dividends, NPST does not yet have enough history to be called a consistent payer. There have been no special dividends, cuts or suspensions. The record is simply short.

Growth Trend: Flat

The dividend was ₹2 in both years. The payout ratio rose slightly, from about 9.0% to 10.2%, because profit fell while the dividend stayed the same.

The company has not published a formal policy linking dividends to a share of profit. A flat ₹2 payout, set against about 12.5% revenue growth, points to a token payout rather than a planned return of capital to shareholders.

Network People Services Technologies Financial Performance Analysis

Operating leverage worked against NPST in FY26. Revenue grew 12.5%, but EBITDA fell 15.8% and PAT fell 9.7%.

Why Margins Fell

Project expenses rose 56.1% to ₹87.78 crore, taking up 45.0% of revenue compared with 32.5% in FY25. Employee costs fell 7.8%, which partly offset the increase. The revenue mix moved toward lower-margin project work.

Other Income Cushion

Other income, mostly interest on the fund raise, reached 26.3% of pre-tax profit, up from 12.3%. Without it, core PBT fell 23.4%, from ₹52.94 crore to ₹40.57 crore.

Network People Services Technologies Cash Flow Analysis

This is the most important finding in this article. NPST reported a profit of ₹40.82 crore, but its operating cash flow was negative ₹45.43 crore. In FY25, operating cash flow was positive ₹29.06 crore.

Receivables Explosion

Trade receivables jumped 227.6% to ₹104.32 crore, while revenue grew only 12.5%. Debtor days went from 67 to 195. Other current assets also grew, from ₹2.24 crore to ₹28.19 crore.

Free Cash Flow

Capex was ₹47.33 crore, mostly intangible assets under development. As a result, free cash flow was negative ₹92.76 crore. The dividend was funded from cash reserves built by the equity raise, not from current earnings.

Network People Services Technologies Balance Sheet Strength

Liquidity

Cash and cash equivalents were ₹277.38 crore. Other bank balances were ₹32.00 crore and investments ₹0.77 crore, giving a total of ₹310.15 crore. That covers the dividend 74 times.

Debt

Short-term borrowings were only ₹5.52 crore, and there is no long-term debt. Net cash is ₹304.63 crore, or ₹296.39 crore after lease liabilities.

Equity rose from ₹104.46 crore to ₹441.20 crore, mainly because of the ₹300 crore preferential issue. ROE was 15.0% and ROCE 19.7% (Screener.in), both down from above 60% ROCE in FY24–FY25. Short-term borrowings grew slightly while the dividend was paid, but the amounts are negligible.

Network People Services Technologies Dividend Sustainability

TestMetricResult
Earnings Coverage (EPS ÷ DPS)10.3xPass
OCF CoverageNegative OCFFail
FCF Coverage-22.2xFail
Cash Coverage74.4xPass

Verdict: Moderately Sustainable

At ₹2 per share, the dividend is safe for years because it uses only 1.34% of cash. But it passes only two of the four tests. A higher dividend would need operating cash flow to turn positive again, which depends on collecting the ₹104 crore in receivables.

Network People Services Technologies vs Peers: Dividend Comparison

Nucleus Software1.89%28%13.1%16.8%15.2644
Intellect Design Arena0.63%28%12.4%16.0%23.9635

NPST has the highest ROE and ROCE in this group, but the lowest yield and payout. Both peers pay out about 28% of profit. The gap mostly comes from valuation: NPST trades at about three to five times the peers' P/E. Peer cash figures are the investments line on Screener.in; data as of 28 Sep 2026.

Network People Services Technologies Promoter Dividend Impact

Holder (Jun 2026)StakeDividend (₹ crore)
Promoters60.48%2.52
DIIs (mainly Tata MF)10.02%0.42
FIIs0.08%0.003
Public29.42%1.23

Promoters receive about ₹2.52 crore, around 60% of the payout. Their stake fell from 67.56% to about 60.3% after the Tata Mutual Fund allotment. About 9,986 minority shareholders share ₹1.23 crore. For a holder of 100 shares, that is ₹200 before tax. The dividend does not meaningfully move wealth toward promoters.

Network People Services Technologies Dividend Taxation

In India, dividends are added to your income and taxed at your slab rate. The company deducts 10% TDS from resident shareholders when their total dividend from NPST in a financial year exceeds ₹10,000. The rate is 20% if PAN is not linked. Eligible shareholders can submit Form 15G or 15H to avoid TDS.

Worked Example (₹10/share)

Take 1,000 shares at ₹10 per share. The gross dividend is ₹10,000. Tax at 30% plus 4% cess is ₹3,120, leaving ₹6,880 net. At ₹1,635 per share, that is a 0.612% gross yield and 0.421% after tax. No TDS applies, because ₹10,000 does not exceed the threshold.

Actual NPST Payout

1,000 shares at ₹2 per share gives ₹2,000 gross. Tax at 31.2% is ₹624, leaving ₹1,376 net. The post-tax yield is just 0.084%.

Key Risks for Network People Services Technologies Shareholders

  • Receivable risk: 195 debtor days and ₹104.32 crore owed by customers. Delays or write-offs would hit profit directly.
  • Margin compression: EBITDA margin fell from 34.7% to 26.0% as lower-margin project work grew.
  • Other-income dependence: 26.3% of PBT came from interest on raised funds, which is not income from the core business.
  • Valuation: a P/E of about 76 leaves little room for a miss. The stock fell 8.98% on 28 September 2026 alone.
  • Regulatory exposure: NPCI and RBI rules on UPI and TSP operations directly affect revenue.
  • Disclosure quality: the owners' PAT line differs from total PAT by ₹6.12 crore in the audited results.

What to Monitor at Network People Services Technologies

  • H1 FY27 operating cash flow: whether it turns positive, which would show receivables being collected.
  • Debtor days: whether they fall from 195 back toward the FY25 level of 67.
  • Operating margin: whether the Q1 FY27 margin of 25% holds, or project costs push it back toward 21%.
  • Use of the ₹300 crore raise: the monitoring agency reports and statements of deviation each quarter.
  • Capitalised development: the ₹25.48 crore of intangibles under development, and whether they turn into revenue.
  • Dividend policy: any formal payout policy or increase above ₹2 in May 2027.

Network People Services Technologies Dividend: Conclusion

Positives

Two straight years of dividends. Earnings cover the payout 10.3 times. Net cash is ₹305 crore. ROE and ROCE are higher than the peers'. Q1 FY27 margins have started to recover.

Negatives

Negative operating and free cash flow. Receivables tripled. Profit fell 9.7% on 12.5% revenue growth. The yield is 0.12%. The audited results contain a PAT inconsistency.

The NPST dividend for 2026 is a token payout from a growth-stage fintech. It is affordable because of the Tata Mutual Fund money, not because the business generated the cash. Readers weighing the stock for income should look at FY27 cash conversion, not the "20%" headline.
